Move-in and move-out

Move-In and Move-Out Cleaning in Marietta

Cleaned for the walkthrough, not for the photo.

A move out cleaning is judged by someone with a checklist and a financial interest in finding something. So we clean the places that checklist looks at: inside every cabinet and drawer, inside the appliances, the tracks, the tops and the corners.

If something is not right, tell us within 24 hours of your cleaning and we come back to redo it.

Move Out Cleaning Is About Getting Your Deposit Back

The inspection is not looking at your living room. It is opening things.

Those are the line items that turn into deductions, and they are the ones a cleaning done by appearance never touches. A move out cleaning that skips them costs more than it saved.

What a Move Out Cleaning Includes

Kitchen

Inside and outside of every cabinet and drawer, inside the oven, inside and behind the refrigerator where it can be moved, inside the microwave and dishwasher, degreasing of the range hood, counters, sink and backsplash, and the top of every cabinet run.

Bathrooms

Inside the vanity, tub and shower including the door track, grout, mineral buildup on fixtures and glass, toilet inside, outside and behind the base, mirrors, exhaust vents.

Whole property

Closet interiors and shelving, baseboards, door frames and switch plates, window sills, interior window glass where reachable, blind slats, light fixtures, and floors edge to edge including closets.

Not included by default

Exterior windows, garage floors, carpet shampooing and wall painting. If the lease requires any of those, tell us and we will say clearly whether we do it or not, rather than leaving you to find out at inspection.

Moving in

Moving In Is a Different Job

A move in cleaning is not about a deposit. It is about not inheriting someone else’s home.

The previous occupant cleaned to pass an inspection, which is not the same as cleaning to live somewhere. So a move in cleaning goes at the things you are about to touch every day: cabinet interiors before your dishes go in, appliance interiors before your food does, the shower before you stand in it, and every handle and switch in the property.

Empty is better. A property with nothing in it gets a cleaning that a furnished one cannot, and it costs less to do, which is why we ask on the form.

Rental Turnovers and Landlords

If you manage a property, the value is not one cleaning. It is the same standard every turnover so listings photograph the same way and inspections stop being a negotiation.

We work the same written checklist for every turnover, and we can hold the same cleaner on your property.

Scoped by the property

How It Is Scoped

A move out cleaning is scoped by the property: square footage, number of bathrooms, whether it is empty, and the condition it is in when we arrive.

The condition matters more here than in any other service. An apartment that was maintained and one that was not are two different jobs with the same square footage, and we would rather scope it accurately than quote low and negotiate later.

Questions

Questions About Move-In and Move-Out Cleaning

What is included in a move out cleaning?
Everything the inspection opens: cabinet and drawer interiors, oven and refrigerator interiors, vanity interiors, closet shelving, window tracks and blinds, plus the full standard cleaning of every surface and floor.
What is the difference between a deep cleaning and a move out cleaning?
A deep cleaning removes buildup in a home you are living in. A move out cleaning covers the interiors of everything that will be opened and inspected, including spaces that only matter when they are empty.
Should the property be empty first?
Yes, when possible. An empty property can be cleaned completely, and it costs less than working around furniture.
Do you clean carpets or exterior windows?
No. Those are separate trades. If your lease requires them, we will tell you so you can arrange it in time.
Can you do it on short notice?
Sometimes. Tell us the date on the form and we will answer honestly instead of promising and rescheduling.
What if the inspection still flags something we cleaned?
Tell us within 24 hours of your cleaning and we come back to redo the point you raised, at no cost.
